Our Work At The Royal Preston Hospital Critical Care Unit
We delivered our expertise in ceilings and drylining to the Critical Care Unit at RPH. This included Steel Framework Systems, using the Metsec system, Ceilings, Featured Plasterboard, and Drylining.
Originally, the project was supposed to run from November 2019 until July 2020. The hospital raised funds from the community to enable to project to be completed faster.
Not wanting to let the community down, we worked in shifts to ensure a team was working around the clock. Staffing the site for 24 hours with our specialist interior fit out team meant we could fulfil the wishes of the community and complete the project two months ahead of schedule.

About The Critical Care Unit
The Critical Care Unit at Royal Preston Hospital is one of the largest in the North West. Every year it provides essential, lifesaving care to around 1600 patients and support to their families.
The expansion included a kitchen area and family room that allows loved ones to stay nearby.
In an interview, the Head of Charities and Fundraising for Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Paula Wilson, said “It’s well documented that the emotional and psychological benefits of being in attractive, uplifting and comfortable surroundings are significant and no one needs this more than those accessing and working in Critical Care.’
We always take our work seriously, ensuring the finish is of the highest standard. Our experience renovating hospitals means we understand why this becomes all the more important in a critical care unit.
